We are recruiting for Rewinder Operator positions.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain a high level of safety and safety awareness in the plant and attending all required safety training and mandatory safety meetings.
2. Run the rewinder section of the production line to the expected run speed while maintaining uptime and safety levels.
3. Dress, hang and splice parent reels when needed in the correct manner and in the allotted standard roll change time using all of the correct PPE.
4. Make minor adjustments to the line as needed during running to ensure the quality of the product and the performance against the expected output.
5. Maintain a high level of workplace cleanliness and hygiene using established methods and standard.
6. Perform changeovers on the rewinder section with the shift mechanic within the established expected timeframe and to the product quality standard.

7. Complete all required shift paperwork in a timely manner.
8. Set up the next incoming shift by cleaning, removing waste, inspecting the line and staging raw materials
9. Minimize downtime and report in detail the reasons for not attaining an 70%+ uptime rate
10. Complete other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

• None

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Excellent interpersonal skills required, including an ability to work collaboratively within a fast paced and structured environment
• Ability to challenge themselves without external motivation and manage time and tasks on their own
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in seasonal ambient temperature environment for long periods of time.
• The ideal candidate will to learn as much as possible and quickly move up to other positions while maintaining a very high work ethic and demonstrating great respect for the company and its property.

NECESSARY COMPETENCIES:

• Ability to perform simple mathematic functions sufficient for production reporting.
• The ability to read and write proficiently in English or Spanish
• Must be able to speak and understand English
