Senior Reliability Engineer

Our Coosa Pines location in Childersburg, Alabama is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Senior Reliability Engineer. This job is Full Time and on-site.

Primary Purpose

 

The Senior Reliability Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of our manufacturing operation.   

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Maintenance Coordinators/Planners and Reliability Engineers.
  • Eliminate production limiting failures from the manufacturing process.
  • Support plant health, safety, environmental and quality strategies that ensure protection of employee and company property, safety, health environmental compliance and product quality.
  • Lead the equipment/process troubleshooting effort.
  • Work with operations and maintenance leaders to support/troubleshoot the maintenance systems in their area.
  • Improve maintenance techniques, activities, and practices through use of reliability tools (i.e. RCM, FMEA, RCFA, etc…).
  • Assist with implementation of both capital and maintenance improvement projects.
  • Provide information and training to help build technical skills in the workforce.
  • Monitor and analyze all emergency work orders in the area.
  • Example of daily responsibilities (depending on electrical or mechanical) discipline include, but are not limited to:
    • Lead the RCFA process.
    • Manage pressure vessel integrity and tank inspection programs.
    • Manage process safety valve program.
    • Champion mill lubrication and/or PM/PdM activities.
    • Assist with MCC or power distribution integrity activities.
    • Assist coordinating outside contractor services.

 

Knowledge and Experience 

 

  • B.S. in engineering or related field.
  • Seven (7) or more years’ experience in a related field. 
  • Excellent skills in written and oral communication.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think “outside the box”.
  • Functional use of Microsoft Office and maintenance systems.
  • SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Highly organized and uses efficient work methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and continue to develop knowledge and skills.
