Bleach Plant Operations Coordinator

Our Coosa Pines location in Childersburg, AL is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Bleach Plant Operations Coordinator. This job is full-time and onsite.

Primary Purpose

 

Provides the primary operational/technical resource for the Bleach Plant, Chlorine Dioxide, and Tall Oil operations.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Promotes and initiates activities and policies to ensure a safe workplace for all individuals.
  • Support plant health, safety, environmental and quality strategies that ensure protection of employee and company property, safety, health environmental compliance and product quality.
  • Leads efforts to sustain processes that operate within the mandated environmental guidelines. 
  • Helps develop, direct, and implement activities that positively impact mill costs and performance.
  • Plans and coordinates with maintenance scheduled and un-scheduled equipment outages.
  • Provides support on capital and non-capital engineering tasks within area of responsibility.
  • Tracks key performance indicators used in measuring performance.
  • Provides technical support for areas under responsibility.
  • Develops and provides instruction for crews.

 

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • Engineering degree required (Chemical Engineering preferred).
  • Experience in pulp and paper, 5 or more years preferred.
  • Effective written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills.

 

Candidates must have the ability to work and remain in the US without sponsorship.
